Artist Statement

When creating my artwork I wanted something that would stand out from all the other pieces of work. I chose to do split complementary, triad, and shade. My favorite is the shade. It complements my face very well and everything matches. I don't like the other two because they are messy colors that stand out. I would choose to do shades in a different color if I were to do it again. I hope you guys like my work just as much as I do.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RXRT3dHu6_o In the video, he was using a lot of boxes. We did that in class and it was pretty fun. This would be helpful when trying to make a slide show. You would be able to make this in InDesign. I feel that InDesign is only really useful for making letters or slide shows. I am excited to use the the scissors tool and think it will be cool to cut things in half. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0eqhUFRlvgI In the video, he was kinda making a chart. It turned out that he was making an advertisement or a picture with food in it. Again it seems that all these videos just turn out to be making a letter or a slide show. I don't really see the benefit of making it in InDesign when you could just make this in PowerPoint in 2 minutes.  I really wanted to add some color to my card. I feel like too many people just have blank white cards that do not catch your eye. I also added my tag brush logo to it for people to know it is me. I added financial advisor also because that's what I want to become when I am older. I have a fake phone number and email in there also. I hope you like it as much as I do.
