Artist Statement

When creating my artwork I wanted something that would stand out from all the other pieces of work. I chose to do split complementary, triad, and shade. My favorite is the shade. It complements my face very well and everything matches. I don't like the other two because they are messy colors that stand out. I would choose to do shades in a different color if I were to do it again. I hope you guys like my work just as much as I do.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RXRT3dHu6_o In the video, he was using a lot of boxes. We did that in class and it was pretty fun. This would be helpful when trying to make a slide show. You would be able to make this in InDesign. I feel that InDesign is only really useful for making letters or slide shows. I am excited to use the the scissors tool and think it will be cool to cut things in half. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0eqhUFRlvgI In the video, he was kinda making a chart. It turned out that he was making an advertisement or a picture with food in it. Again it seems that all these videos just turn out to be making a letter or a slide show. I don't really see the benefit of making it in InDesign when you could just make this in PowerPoint in 2 minutes. original picture   Self portrait  propaganda  I decide I wanted to do this propaganda because I feel that it is a very simple, but has a strong message. I think this is a great propaganda poster because it is actually a very important message. I have experienced this when driving and it always annoys me. I used very simple tools when creating this propaganda poster. I also used the fade in the background to get the attention of the reader. I think my inspiration was coming from my own personal life. Like I said I have had many close calls driving because people run red lights and stop signs. It is very scary, and people should take this seriously. I hope other like this propaganda post and can relate to this. I created this to spread a good message that actually has a very important meaning.
